Alessandro Zuccari has been an employee of the Italian Geological Society since 1991. In 2006 he graduated in Geological Sciences at the Sapienza University of Rome. In 2008 he passed the exam for the qualification to the profession of Geologist and is enrolled in the Order of Geologists of Lazio. Since 2012 he has been General Secretary of the Italian Geological Society, Editorial Manager and Managing Director of the Italian Journal of Geosciences.

In 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 he was a member of the Organizing Committee of the Congresses of the Italian Geological Society.
